    cha cha cha changes!!!
    Well It's official.

The Tattle Tales have changed our name to The Little Triggers. We all agreed the band isnt the same band it used to be. We have a new sound and all different members. Hell, i didnt even come up with the name. There's nothing cooler than elvis costello references anyway.

My only question is if it should be The Little Triggers, or just Little Triggers.

    What do you think?

    sorry for the shock! hehe.

    Back
    Hey everyone,

So we're back now. I'm pretty bummed about it. We had an amazing time on tour and we cant wait til the next one. Hopefully we'll be doing a couple weeks in the winter when everyones got a break from school. All 4 of us got so much closer as friends and that's really what i was hoping for the most out of this tour. Thanks to everyone who made it possible... everyone who let us sleep on their floors, fed us, put on a show.. gave us directions... we owe it all to you. We love you

Day one of tour and an underage girl has already flashed us AND we slept in a CVS parking lot. I'm inclined to say PUNK ROCK after that, but you know what, I'm not 18 anymore.
    12:09 pm
    Holla,

So the first two shows have been pretty lack luster i guess you could say. We met a few really cool people so far so thats always a good thing. We're still trying to get the set as tight as possible... I'm pretty sure we'll have it down within the next few days. I also hope we get paid in the next few shows because i am broke like a mother fucker. The rock n roll hall of fame was so awesome though. I nearly missed the great elvis costello section they had.. but luckily i found it and it made me happy. I want a "get happy!" sweater too, dammit.

Sleeping in a 24 hour CVS is punk rock. Brushing your teeth and spitting mouth wash in said parking lot is just gross.

The really great thing about the rock and roll hall of fame in clevland is that if you are a touring band you dont have to pay a cent when you go in there. theres this long line to get in and we are taken past all of them to a special guest area and given special passeses to get in any place for free and we are treated like royal-fucking-ty. pretty sexxy if you ask me. also learning to drive a van is one of the scarriest things a boy can do. but i drove 3 hours yesterday and i think i got it down to a science ... the trick? don't panic.

    P.S. i <3 patt dull

Tour day 4, West Palm Beach Florida.. 8/25
First off ... to those of you who were actually looking forward to read this i would like to say sorry for 2 things....

    1. Ive been lazy and didnt feel like writing really long rants and raves about nothing
    2. It's not going to be all that interesting ..at all

Soooo we leave naples Florida at around 3ish or something like that.. We really wanted to have breakfast at ihop with our new friends but time didnt permit this... time is a fucking bitch ass sometimes... but we all knew that.

We decided to take ...route 80?? shit i dont know... alllll the way across florida to get into west palm beach... which i suppose turned out to be just fine... but it was funny because it felt like i was driving thru farmish suburbs the whole time.. which took a long ass time... but it was a nice change from just highways ... but ill have you know that ALL farm land looks the same EXACTLY where you are... kinda like when mike dirnt from green day said " you dont have to go on tour, cuz i did it for you... and it all looks like hockey arenas.... now i can have a similar quote... but i dont really have to say that quote anymore.. cuz you can gather what it might be...

So backing up a bit... i was on Makeoutclub and came across this chick who looked awfully purdy... and she listed Mtx and i dunno... lets say green day for the sake of the argument... so naturally im interested in talking to her... attractive girls mixed with mtx are good good things... So we get to talking and i guess i mustve mentioned that my band was going on tour and we wanted to play down there... so she got me in touch with Matt who ended up booking the show... more on that later...

but nora... yeah... hmm...good girl... really fun.. seemed very vibrant and nice.. and again...very cute :). Talked to her on the phone a couple times we actually made our way down to florida.. so i was excited to meet her... but i was also very nervous.. mostly because i have zero self asteem... but hey... whatever.

The whole way into west palm beach i was already regretting what the first meeting would be like.... hey wait a second... this doesnt sound like a tour journal at all hahahahaha.... ok ok... i know all you kids want the inside dirt on your favorite rock stars... so i suggest watching vh1... haha! that was a joke!! get it??? cuz its sarcasm bu.....ahem.... alright listen....

    i was nervous ok?

We got into west palm beach at sometime... im forgetting... but i know it was light out.. so well say..... 7? sure 7. And there she was... i believe it was griffin who first said "uh oh guys.. she's hot" hahahaha!! I stumbled out of the car and tried my best to make it seem like i didnt really care and that i wasnt half as nervous as i really was... did it work? probably not.... we hugged.. and insert all the really awkward stuff that follows after that...

up comes matt... apparently he didnt even know we were still coming because i hadnt emailed him back... but i didnt know that it was an email i had to reply too cuz all it really said was the details of the show... but ok... seems like a cool guy with a teen idols shirt.. I believe that griffin now refers to him as "teen idols"... score dude...? he also tells us that some ska band was playing who decided to add themselves to the show... pick it up! pick it up!

After that some people park near us and it turns out be markybipolar!! haha nice... he says judy couldnt make it and i ask why and he said they broke up and stuff... crud :( but he was nice and i met eric from the come ons and his girlfriend.... who also said we could crash at their place that night... score.

we start loading in the stuff and settling in... this is the first show on the tour that has been in an actual bar/club place... and it was a nice change... bars arent my bag at all to hang out in... but when it comes to playing at them... its a different story.. i like how dark and mysterious some places can be... and its always fun to play... then again its fun to play anywhere.

its a little blurry now but ill try to remember as much as possible... i know i was in the backroom with the pool tables and stuff and nora came near me and tugged at my shirt and said she wanted it... ( the shirt!... sicko's!!!!) So... i was feeling less stressed about the whole meeting thingy... then she came out of the other room... and we sat at the couches together and just chatted about a whole lot of nothing.. but it was nice.... then she said she was going to the front... so she did... and i stayed sitting at the couch like an idiot for a little while... cuz looking like an idiot is better then looking like a desperate follower..... but eventually (1 minute) i did...

the ska band played and they sucked... sorry guys...im not into ska bands where the singer really tries to like........sing. its annoying... and the guitar player wanted to have the biggest nuts in the whole place by playing guitar solo's up the asshole... but i mean i dunno... blah...

then the ridicules played... ben weasel would be proud of these kids... real kick ass punk pop n roll type stuff. Good tunes and a good vibe... not to mention Matts really funny glam rock wig.... ( was this to help differentiate himself from the come ons? ) In pop punk of this vein... its VERY easy to suck at it... and its not that easy to be good at it... thankfully these guys pulled it off well.... then i notice the bass player

i KNOW i know who she is... but im thinking.... " what are you talking about self?... you live in Ny self.... this girl obviously lives in Florida and there is no chance that you know her ..." then i said to myself " you're right ,self" so i just came to the conclusion that i couldnt know her but that she just looks really familiar... but this girls got a green day sticker on her bass which gives her extra points....

Then we go on. the keyboard was giving us all sorts of problems... so that killed our set for a while... but then we get everything working and the sound guy says we can play 5 songs... im like... " thats like 10 mins"... " oh " he says..... " then 6 songs" hahahahaha
so we blast thru some of the hits that were requested that night by some of the kids at the show who knew them.... rock!! we opened with sweater and after that i have no idea what we played... but i think we sounded good....who knows... after we got off we actually sold some t shirts which was really rad...

After our set i went to the bathroom and changed my shirt cuz i was all sweaty and i HATE being sweaty... oh well.. so i wash up and get myself together and go back out....

ok this is the fuzzy part... i dont really remember anything here... prolly lots of chit chat, and people saying " you were good" and lying... but hey!! :) ok...

Then the come ons finally get going... apparently Eric had been drinking quite a bit... hehe.... they get on and they rock the house with snotty punk rock in a pop sort of veign.... but it was in your face and full of energy.... i cant compare it to anything... but this is the only time ive seen them so i will say that eric puts on a great show drunk... haha... and it was nancy and matt from the ridicules too... and i forgot the drummers name.... in both bands actually... sorry... but the point is.. they rocked

Then Billy Bolibi or something like that came on... apparently some of them had been in the Mute- Ants... who ive also never heard... but heard of... didnt they have a mutant pop short run or 7 inch or something? i dunno.... they were............fun? i dunno... the tunes werent there but the funniness and live show was there.... the showmanship was stellar... but they just didnt have good songs at all.... sorry!!!

we went to erics house after the show but not before getting some taco bell! whoo hoo!!! and at erics house it finally dawns on me that nancy is nancy from the green zine... this zine that her and this girl i used to talk to a lot named christy used to do together.... so i asked her if she knew what green zine was... or maybe i asked her if she knew who christy was.... i dont know... but yeah... shes like YES!! WHOA!! YOU'RE CHRIS STEFOS!!! hahahaha YOU'RE A REAL PERSON!!... sooooooo funny... me and nancy had talked on the phone like.. a bajillion years before .... weird!! but cool

some people drank, some people smoked, but most people just played darts.... oh i forgot to mention that nora told me to call her in the morning and that we were going to hang out ... cool... so i set chris's phone to wake me up at 11? was it? i dunno... but it didnt... i woke up like a half hour later and his ID said she called... so i went online and she was online and she said shed come and pick me up... rad...

she gets there and she gives me the west palm tour... it was nice ... i had a good time but i was also very very nervous ..... again.. and i dont know why really.... but whatever....

moving a long........West Palm was a great show, and great times... and we made some new friends which is fucking awesome......

we now had a 17 hour drive to Arkansas... or was it 22 hours? fucked if i knew or remember.... hahahaha

    til next time.

tour day three, Naples Florida, 8/24
.......We've been driving south for what seems like forever... down to the lovely sunshine state of Florida... I was so fucking excited for this show because i knew we were playing the show with this band i had just heard of care of the mutant pop message board called "jenji"... Jenji might be the bastard children of sleater kinney and the ramones or something similiar to that... all mixed up... whatever they are.. they rock and they sound like they're having just as much fun as any rock n roll unit out there..

On this tour we've had this funny little theme of showing up JUST before the show was supposed to start... which in this case was justified because we had been driving for so very very very long...

We get to the place and its in a strip mall... which rules.. cuz all the shows we've played so far have been in strip malls next to best buys... although none of us see a best buy in sight. but we figure if we cant bring the full scale Tiffany Mall tour back... we can sure as hell START the first strip mall tour... :)

The show was in a place called CD Warehouse... man this place is so cute... its air conditioned like hell and that makes us very happy as i said... ya know... being in a car with hardly any air conditioning... all the people at this show seem like really cool kids and the people who work there are giving me a good vibe so all seems like it will go well with this show..

First up is Jenji... oh man... they rock!! its the type of stuff that i myself didnt think id ever be into... but i cant help but feed off the energy jen the lead singer gives off... she's so into just playing songs for people that you gotta love her... you gotta feel what she's feeling... i couldnt understand any words but it really didnt matter.. cuz for jenji its all about having fun... and we were... i scored 4 jenji stickers by the end of the night. whoo!!

Then came us... jenji was nice enough to let us use their guitar and bass amps... this place had the best sound out of any show on the tour i think... we could all hear eachother PERFECTLY.. which was amazing... actually when i started singing i was so set back by how well i could hear myself that i sang off key the first few notes out of shock... haha... but yeah.. we were fucking on and i loved every second of it... all the harmonies were tight... griffin had added this harmony to" Show Me"( that i had never heard before due to poor sound in other shows..). that was Sweet!! ..

There were about 30 kids at the show but you didnt even care cuz it was a small room and everyone was really nice and responsive so that made it totally worth it. We sold a couple shirts, and pins and stuff.. and just made a few friends... my god.. what could be better i ask?

The next band i didnt really watch but they sounded pretty cool... i was mostly outside putting shit in the car.. and talking to a few people about the show and stuff... and what was going on after the show...

We all decided to get everyone and have a mass TGI fridays party... which ruled.. We ended up staying with Dan from jenji and his really nice girlfriend who im forgetting her name right now.. dammit... they had a rad place and was so nice of them to let us stay with them... its pretty weird staying with really cool people for one night... when you're pretty sure you will never be there again... its almost like a dream... but who knows.. i think ill definitely see all them again so i dont know what im talking about... ah well i dunno

we were feeling really good now, we had just played a rad show... met some really awesome people... and tommorow we were playing West Palm Beach ... and i was realllllly excited for that show due to a couple things.....

    West Palm Beach...later

Tour day two, Wilmington NC, 8/23
After getting over the Virginia show and saying our goodbyes... we were stuck with the fact that we had no where to sleep... one of the guys in the band Rocket City Riot had said we could stay at his house but we'd have to get up with him the next morning for his work.... which was fine... little did we know that meant getting up at 4:30... so we decided to just make our way into North Carolina...

We came upon a days inn... ive been here before.. its a quality little motel which cheap rates and all that.. Now came time for me to be the ultra sneaky guy and pay for a single and sneak the whole band in there... i had ALWAYS wanted to do this... it was on my checklist for "things to do when im on the road with my band " and it happened... it was so much easier then i thought it would be... kinda took the fun away but hey... we had a place to sleep ...

It reminded me of family vacations... going to the jersey shore... or how we would go to florida every year... Nostalgia(sic) is a good feeling ..

We pulled up to the show about 30 mins before it was supposed to start.. it was at a place called Man Freddies Pizza.. me and brett both agreed that the graphics on this place where amongst the best we'd ever seen on any given food joint..

As soon as you entered this place you felt a good vibe... i was really digging this place a whole lot... the stage was in the corner and there was shit all over the walls similar to like a TGIfridays or something like that... plus the AC was kicking and we really needed to cool off from being cramped in a little car the whole ride in..

the main reaccuring problem we had on this tour was the fact that we werent able to bring a guitar or a bass amplifier due to the fact that the u haul i had planned to haul would need a hitch that costed 300 dollars to mount onto my blazer... too much money since i had 300 dollars going into the tour... so we asked the band that was playing first "the girlish figure".. they didnt seem happy about us asking them at all... she's like "ill see" and then finally she came up to me and said " someone broke my bass in texas, so could you ask the other band playing?" ewww ok... nevermind the fact that we didnt ask to borrow her bass but her bass amp... but ok... i dont understand why people get so bent out of shape about using their amps.... if it breaks for any reason that just means you yourself were going to do the same thing next time you plugged into it.... thats another reason why so many bands are so cool about it... cuz they know it aint no big deal.... id let anyone use any of my stuff....

so we asked the other band playing and now i feel like a really big jerk cuz i forgot their name but they were like an experimental doors or something... but there were a few songs that were so fucking cool... youd totally be vibing off these guys... some songs were too jammy and long for me but i could really appreciate what they were doing.... back to the point...we asked them to use their stuff and they were more then happy to let us ... what great guys...

the girlish figure finally went on and boy ... i wasnt into them at all... i guess they were complaining that the sound system sucked or something... so they ended up playing about 3 songs and then splitting... fine with us! hahahaha.

then it was our turn... we were still really scared to see what we were going to sound like cuz of the night before and how horrible it was... but i was feeling a lot better about everything... it seemed like some kids there were going to like us... and if they didnt? well who cares cuz we had just had some of the best fucking pizza we ever had in our lives... boy did that pizza kick ass...

we play our set and we sounded really fucking good i think.. like a 344243% improvment from the night before... everyone seemed to like us a lot... there was clapping and all that... except for this one girl who left after our first song and while she was leaving she decided to come up to me while i was singing a song and make a jerking off motion or something... we kinda thought it was funny.... brett gave her the finger a few times in a clever way while playing his drums....

while the show was going on i noticed a boy who i thought looked so familiar, but i wasnt going to say anything... so once we got off stage he comes up to me and it totally turns out that he's dan!! one of my good friends lindsays boyfriend/ex boyfriend/ whatever hahaha... and we talked and he was a super rad guy... they said they enjoyed the rock music we had just shown to them . :) its so funny cuz we had heard so much about eachother from lindsay that we felt like we knew eachother already.. which was cool but it sucked becuase i really wish by this point that i could have met lindsay by now but hey... soon enough right? right!....

the north carolina kids were really cool. some people bought shirts (which ruled!!) and gave us the really cute accent by saying " yall were guuud" haha i love that!! there were a few really really cute girls at the show... and i had my eyes on one of them ... but aside from saying we rocked and buying a shit she didnt seem all that into me... thats cool though! :)

after our set i had talked to this guy who started talking to me since i said we were from NY... he told me about how he used to drive trucks and come in and out of rockland county a lot... thats cool... i asked him how to get to any cool beaches around there cuz apparently we were right on the coast next to the water... he drew us out a map and we followed it to the beach... by this time it mustve been 2am or something close to that.... we all jumped into the ocean and it was like fucking bliss i tell you... the water was beautiful the night was beautiful... i cant even give you accurate words to begin to describe how perfect it was.... christopher decided to get naked and go in the water which was pretty funny... we still tease him about that now... or do we? oh i dunno... after that we called Jay Vivian ( who put on the show ) and asked for directions to his house... cuz he was gonna let us take showers and all that good stuff... but we couldnt crash at his place cuz we had a very long drive ahead of us to Fort Myers Florida.... so we did our thing, said our goodbyes.. and had some really good talks with the boys from the vivians...

T minus 15 or so hours til our show in south Florida and we were in North Carolina... this was going to be fun :)

    Naples Florida next....

    9:28 pm
Tour Day one, Mannasas Virginia 8/22
i was scrambling to find all the shit i needed to leave rockland county.... toothbrush..shaving cream...our merch... dont forget your own guitar chris!!! all this and no suprises... from this years tour.. ( EC reference ) are you lost? so am i... ill start over

I left Blauvelt to go get griffin... somehow i got lost even though ive driven to hastings a few times by now... how this managed to happen i didnt know... but i wasnt surprised at all... show up to her place... she says her goodbyes to the family... we get a few more directions for some certain shows... and the way to bretts house... because we have no idea how to get there...

oh god... going to bretts house was supposed to take an hour and change... i think we got there in about 3 and a half hours... lost lost and more lost... brett even said his mom started to get pissed at us for being so late saying " oh i see where this tour is headed " haha... she was probably right.. i said to myself.. we get brett... load up all his drums ( well most of them ) and make our way into sayerville Nj to spend the night... which would be wayyy easier on us then driving all the way into queens and getting there really late to pick up christopher...

we meet up with mikey tattle tale... who isnt coming on this tour because his other band the Ergs are going on tour the exact same time... but thats ok... we go to his place and just kinda hang out... always fun hanging out with that boy... one of my best friends today and i know that aint gonna change... we also call christopher and tell him to take a train into sayerville nj and that we would leave from there... haha.. he didnt see to happy about that but ol chris is a pushover so we got him to take the plunge ( just kidding homie )....

the next morning we find out the drive in Virginia is a lot closer then we thought so we had a bit of a cushion in terms of time and all that...we went to joey tattle tales house ( who also wasnt coming on this tour due to the ergs tour ) and attempted to get his familys storage pod on the top of my blazer for the tour in order to hold a lot more shit and to make it more comfy in the vehicle for those of who had to sit in the back the whole time. ( wow long sentence )... well it turns out it didnt fit because my truck is only 2 door... phooey... we cram everyones shit in and we're now on our way to our first official show on the 02' tour.

I love the road.. i love seeing new things, talking to new people ... but most of all? i fucking LOVE truck stops... they make me feel so good... so at home and i dont know why... there is something so romantic about going into these shops that you will most likely never go into ever again yet they all look so damn similar.... you can walk into these places with the shaggiest of shaggy hair and feel ok about it.... stroll in with socks on at 4AM and be like " 20 dollars on pump 3..... oh and a pepsi " hahaha I LOVE THE ROAD!!!!

we get to Veronas in Virginia about 15 minutes before the show was supposed to start... there were a couple kids waiting outside... it wasnt looking too good for attendance... but we didnt really know what to expect yet... no one was that friendly there and it really got to me... from the start i felt a bad vibe and we were all sorta feeling the same thing... the show didnt start til about an hour later or something like that... we were supposed to play 2nd or 3rd... but somehow we ended up playing first... OK.. thats fine and all...

We were terrible... but in retrospect.. i think the reason we were so bad was cuz none of us wanted to be there... well no maybe thats not it exactly... i just feel like the vibe was so shitty that we were sorry that we were there... we wanted it to end very quickly... but we didnt want to play bad... it was very nerve racking... we stumbled thru 8 or 9 songs before i just kinda gave up without anyone really noticing and declariing the next song as our last song... somehow after the show a couple people said they really enjoyed it... i dont know why or how.... but thats rock n roll i guess...

after we got off stage we packed up some of our shit and the other bands used bretts drum kit... so we all just kinda hung out in the parking lot... checked out the other bands a little... went back and forth... me and christopher got some pizza next store and it was tasty... i was really depressed to be there still... and still in shock about how bad we played ( in my opinion.. the worst show we ever played... ever ) .. but once i was eating pizza with chris... i was feeling better about everything... its nice to just relax with friends...

later on that night i saw Nerd Tim ( the promoter of the show ) ... he was leaving the show early... wow.. thats one of the lamest things someone can do... leave a show you put on yourself before all the bands have played... whatever... he didnt seem to like my band personally or musically... and that was fine... but we're a touring band here... and the other bands didnt come from around the corner to play either... the least you can do is stick around til the show is over....

so i say to him " hey umm so who do i see ? " ... "for a place to stay" he asks... " no for gas money " sheepishly.... and he handed me a 20 dollar bill... which was an ok amount of money i guess.. but the fact that he wasnt going to even offer was a little weird... and it turns out that he didnt even pay any of the others bands anything.... i dont know... i dont have anything against him personally.. i just think his choices were really bad that night...

we made some friends that night though... and we knew that if there was anywhere to go...

    that way was up.

    North Carolina next........
